We are all made of air

The frequency of my posting has been relatively low, but I assure you this was only because of my preoccupation with AP tests.  Now that it’s all over, posts will be flooding into your inbox by the millions. Har har.  Totally kidding.

For lack of a better subject to talk about, I’m going to discuss AP’s with you.  Howeverrrr, next week (roughly Monday or so), I’ll have a very super special post for ya’ll because of a very super cool thing… which I cannot reveal just yet.  So stick with me here.  I know nobody wants to hear about AP exams.  They’re boring.  But I want you to know that I’m alive and posting.

Let’s make it plain and simple: our school’s MPR was my home for pretty much four straight days.  You get there at eight A.M. and don’t leave until noon.  You gotta fill out those darned scantron answer sheets four times over with your personal information.  You gotta listen to the proctor read the directions, verbatim every time.  Then you gotta work at the speed of light to fill in the bubbles to all eighty questions.  TEN MINUTE BREAK!  Then you write three essays.

That was what I was doing this week and Friday of last.

And it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting!  I believe I did well on all of them except for Music Theory (it’s a killer).  I was nervous out of my mind for the English Language & Composition exam, but it turns out that the test-makers softened up on us.  If anything, my teacher over-prepared us!

I don’t want to jinx myself, so I’ll just say that I think I did fine.  I’m not anticipating straight 5’s on the grade report in July– especially not with Music Theory in there– but I hope my scores reflect my copious studying.

Bottom line is, I’M NOW A FREE WOMAN and school is a joke for the rest of the year.  In June, having an AP class means watching movies, going on field trips, doing nothing, yadda yadda.  I’m not used to this liberation from stacks of homework.  This is a whole new concept to me.  I don’t even know what to do with myself.

So, um, I leave you here.  There will be an exciting post next week, I promise.

I guess I’ll get back to staring at the wall?
